Phillip Schofield has said Gino D’Acampo will NOT replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning while she’s filming I’m A Celebrity!
The Italian chef is usually seen whipping up a storm in This Morning’s kitchen but on Thursday he joined Phil and Holly for a chat about his new show, Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.
But before Phillip and Holly even had a chance to introduce Gino, he took over, reading their lines from the autocue to introduce himself!

Gino then turned to them and said: “I can do this. I tell you, when [Holly] is going into the jungle, I am going to be next to [Phillip] all the way through to get all this sorted out. I am getting practice.”
A laughing Holly said: “That sounds like a threat to me!”
Phil then cut in to declare: “Can I just say… you are absolutely not!”
Sorry, Gino!
Holly will be taking a leave of absence from This Morning later this year to fly to Australia to host I’m A Celebrity with Dec Donnelly.
She’s standing in for Dec’s telly partner Ant McPartlin, who is taking time away from work commitments to focus on his health and wellbeing.
Meanwhile, Gino’s new TV show featuring Gordon Ramsay and First Dates’ Fred Sirieix starts tonight at 9pm on ITV.
The programme will see Gino, Gordon and Fred taking a camper van across Europe to visit each of their homelands: Italy, Scotland and France respectively.
Gino told Phil and Holly: “The idea was, why are we doing this? So I said let’s do something personal to us. I will take you to Italy, where I was born. So we went to Naples with Vespas. It was very chaotic!
“Then we went to Sardinia, where I went to marry my best friend Marco and his wife. I have a license to marry people. I renewed their vows as I married them three years ago.”
Gino said he did most of the driving in Italy – and also crashed the camper van!
Defending himself, he said: “They used to distract me all the time. They used to talk to me every two seconds, ask me questions. Gordon on my right barking at me all the time. It’s not an easy thing to do, talk and drive at the same time.
“So I crashed about three or four times – no more than that!”

Meanwhile, This Morning has yet to confirm who will replace Holly while she is away – although the person has been chosen!
Holly teased on Good Morning Britain earlier this month: “We do [know who it is]… he’s in very safe hands. Whenever I leave him I want to make sure he’s looked after and he’s with somebody and it’s all nice.”
