Glamour magazine have announced that Bono will be the first man to be chosen for Women of the Year.
The U2 frontman will be honoured along side other women, including famous names such as Gwen Stefani, Simone Biles and Miuccia Prada.
But Susanna Reid was not happy with the decision.
The Good Morning Britain host claims the choice was “just for controversy”.
Colleague Ranvir Singh argued that it was “alright actually” and Susanna argued: “It’s just controversial, isn’t it… Women of the Year, I assumed was women of the year.
“If we start having men getting Women of the Year, then it’s just…”

Richard Arnold added: “I might make the cut.”
In 27 years, Bono will become the magazine’s first ever honorary ‘Man of the Year’.
Accepting the award, he said: “I’m sure I don’t deserve it. But I’m grateful for this award as a chance to say the battle for gender equality can’t be won unless men lead it along with women.
“We’re largely responsible for the problem, so we have to be involved in the solutions.”

Glamour’s editor-in-chief said: “We’ve talked for years about whether to honor a man at Women of the Year and we’ve always kind of put the kabash on it.
“You know, men get a lot of awards and aren’t exactly hurting in the celebration and honours department.
“But it started to seem that that might be an outdated way of looking at things, and there are so many men who really are doing wonderful things for women these days.
“Some men get it and Bono is one of those guys.”
But how?
Bono not only wears a feminist shirt and talks the talk, he has turned his attention to women who are in extreme poverty around the world.
When the rock icon told his wife that he was being honoured, he asked if he deserved it.
He added: “She said I’ve got work to do!”
Melinda Gates, who is 2013’s Women of the Year said: “He’s one of the most outspoken and effective advocates for women and girls I know.
“As an activist, he’s using those skills to get the world talking about the fact that ending extreme poverty begins with empowering women and girls.”
