GMB host Kate Garraway called herself an “idiot” as she misinterpreted advice from Dr Sarah Jarvis on the programme.
During today’s (Tuesday, August 11) episode of Good Morning Britain, presenters Adil Ray and Kate were chatting with TV GP Dr Jarvis about staying cool during hot summer nights.
What did Kate Garraway say to Dr Sarah Jarvis on GMB?
Earlier in the show, Kate admitted that she struggled to sleep last night as she was far too hot and uncomfortable.
They discussed viewer tips on keeping cool. And one that many people suggested was to put a container of cold water or ice in front of a fan.
The hosts asked Sarah Jarvis for advice and the doctor suggested putting your sheets in the freezer.

At that, Kate felt puzzled as she wondered how someone could fit a whole sheet in the freezer.
Sarah said: “[Viewers] stole my tip about the cold hot water bottles. Please don’t forget – never put ice directly on the skin as that can cause ice burns. A cold flannel around your neck, and possibly putting your sheets in the freezer.”
Kate, baffled, demanded: “How can you put your sheets in the freezer? What size freezers do people have?”
Okay, I’m an idiot.
Dr Jarvis, not understanding how she had confused Kate, replied: “What size do sheets fold up?”
“Well, I…” Kate started, before realising what Sara meant. “Oh! I think I had in mind the duvet…”
“You don’t need one of those at the moment,” Dr Jarvis said, laughing.
Kate continued: “I was thinking of trying to stuff a duvet in the freezer. You’re right.”

Adil quipped: “Just in that bottom compartment.”
“Yeah,” said Kate, adding: “Okay, I’m an idiot.”
Viewers divided over Adil
Kate is presenting the programme with Adil Ray at the moment, after her co-host Ben Shephard stepped back to focus on filming his show Tipping Point.
Yesterday, viewers were divided over Adil being on. Some on Twitter called him a “great” presenter, while others admitted they had to switch over.
