Gogglebox bosses ‘ban the TV families from meeting each other’!

Strict rules on our favourite show

Gogglebox has been a huge hit ever since it hit our screens.

But since Scarlett Moffatt rose to fame following the show it’s been reported that Gogglebox bosses are worried about losing their other cast members for the exact reason.

According to reports Channel 4 bosses have “banned the stars from showbiz parties” in the fear of them following in Scarlett’s footsteps.

The Daily star has claimed the cast will be given new contracts that forbids them to take on any other TV work while participating in the show.

Apparently stars such as Sandra and Sandi, the Michael family and Leon and June are not allowed to contact each other and have a strict curfew.

A source told the Daily Star: “Channel 4 knows the show works because it’s normal families watching TV in their homes.

“They don’t want so-called celebrities on it.”

It’s no secret that the show has been the starting point to some of its stars’ successful TV careers.

Scarlett Moffatt’s showbiz career just keeps going from strength to strength after she was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity.

George Gilbey, another Gogglebox favourite, reportedly earned £100,000 to appear in Celebrity Big Brother in 2014 which forced him to give up his position on the show.

So now Channel 4 bosses are making sure they don’t lose the show’s recognisable faces.

Speaking about her Gogglebox days last week, Scarlett admitted: “It’s so weird because I watched an old Gogglebox back the other day and it doesn’t even feel like that’s me.

“I was like ‘why are you saying that?’ because now that I’m on TV I realise just how difficult it is.”

Scarlett previously spoke out about crossing paths with celebs she may have passed judgment on during her Gogglebox days.

She said: “I’ve never said anything too offensive.

“I don’t mean to upset anyone intentionally.”
