Gogglebox star Julie Malone has described how she was left ‘shaking’ after getting caught up in yesterday’s terrifying incident at a Manchester shopping centre.
It is believed five people were hurt yesterday at the Arndale Shopping Centre, one of Britain’s largest shopping centres, after shoppers were attacked by a man with a large knife.
Three people – a man in his 50s, a 19-year-old woman and another woman – were rushed to hospital with stab wounds.
A man in his 40s was arrested and detained under the Mental Health Act following the incident.

Julie revealed through a string of tweets that while she had not witnessed the attacks, she had been in the area at the time and was shaken by events.
Initially Julie shared with her Twitter followers that she had been evacuated from the Arndale Shopping Centre and that she was ‘homeward bound’ after leaving the centre’s car park.
Julie then shared with her Twitter followers: “A big thank you to all MCR Arndale security and the police who attended so quickly x.
“Prayers to those that have been hurt, I’m just sat outside the city centre shaking a little bit and hugging my grandkids.”

One concerned fan rushed to share his sympathies and hoped that her grandchildren weren’t ‘traumatised’.
Julie replied: “Luckily we didn’t see anything just lots of police.”
