Gogglebox’s June addresses show future after husband Leon’s death

He passed away just before Christmas

Gogglebox star June Bernicoff has hinted she may not return to the hit Channel 4 show following the tragic death of her husband Leon last year.

He passed away just before Christmas – on December 23 – following a short illness, leaving fans of the show in shock and mourning.

Ever since the sad news broke viewers have wondered whether June would continue to appear on the show.

And after the show picked up best Factual Entertainment Programme at the National Television Awards, she hinted it may be the end for her.

She tweeted: “It was a great adventure with a great finale with the NTA.”

Fans were quick to offer their support.

One wrote: “That’s a real shame…i know no-one could replace Leon but you both will be sadly missed.”

Another added: “My family and I will miss you. Please keep tweeting. Take care June. Xx”

“You have to do what’s right for you June. Your memories with Leon will be with you forever and we have those from goggle box too. Thank you,” commented a third.

Leon and wife June joined the Channel 4 hit when it launched in 2013, and quickly became national treasures.

The couple also shared a Twitter account but she has taken it over since the 83-year-old’s death.
