The Good Morning Britain presenter, 50, said on Twitter that she has been filming a role in a “big plot” in the Channel 4 soap.
But we’ll have to wait a while to see her on screen as her scenes aren’t due air until September.
Garraway told her 236,000 followers on the site: “Big tks to the @Hollyoaks gang 4 making filming my small part in a big plot for sept- so much fun!!!
“u are going to be gripped!!”
The TV star did not give away any details, adding the hashtag “#nospoilers”.
She also sent a light-hearted message moaning about the weather to Good Morning Britain’s meteorologist Laura Tobin.

Rumours are now circulating as to exactly what Kate could be doing in the show.
We don’t even know if she’ll be playing herself or someone else.
There’s always a crime or seven going on in Hollyoaks, will she be reporting on the latest updates on a big case?
Could she be the VIP opening a big event in the village? And will her presence lead to disaster? Let’s face it, there’s more often than not one of those in Oaksville!
Or might she actually have a character complete with backstory who’s come to cause trouble for someone in the village?
