Grand National Ladies Day is here and thousands of racegoers have flocked to Aintree for the festivities.
As with much of Cheltenham Races last month, the weather wasn’t on their side but the revellers didn’t let that dampen their spirits.
Many chose bright, bold hues for the occasion, favouring some of the fanciest headgear you’re likely to see and braving the chilly weather in super-short dresses that left little to the imagination.

The unfavourable weather left some racegoers struggling to cover themselves up as the wind wreaked havoc with otherwise impeccable outfits.
Still others braced against the wind and managed to batten down the hatches until reaching cover.
For some revellers, the chill wasn’t an issue and no cardigan was necessary, as with this bold pink suit and black bra combo.
The ladies kept their spirits high and enjoyed a cold pint or two between races.
It’s a chance to really let your hair down and enjoy a day that, for many, heralds the beginning of a season filled with garden barbecues, house parties and nights out with pals.
Dancing to your heart’s content without spilling your drink is a real skill – easy to learn, but difficult to master!
You’ve got to watch your headgear, though! Luckily this racegoer’s pal was quick to spot she’d dropped hers.
