It’s been a hard two weeks for Zoe Ball following the suicide of her boyfriend Billy Yates.
But now she has mustered the strength to speak out.
Since she received the news of Billy’s death she has been inundated with messages from well wishers, some of whom have shared their stories.
Now, Zoe has found the strength to speak out and reply to many of those who have been in touch.
One tweet in particular spoke to Zoe.

Journalist Rachel Southwood wrote: “My heart goes out to you. You must be sad, bewildered and wondering what the point is. Sending you strength x”.
Zoe wrote back saying that that was exactly how she was feeling. “Pretty much spot on. Thank you for your kindness. Means so very much. Love xxx”
Another well wisher shared her story about how her ex partner and father of her children had also took his own life.
Moved, Zoe replied: “My heart goes out to you Shelley. I send all my love and strength to you and your sons. Hold tight my darling.”
Another online supporter told Zoe how his 21 year old son had killed himself five years ago.
Zoe replied; “I’m so sorry about your beautiful boy. Sending you so much love.”
Another well-wisher explained to Zoe that her father had take his own life 30 years ago. Heartbroken by her story, Zoe said: “I’m so sorry to hear that about your dad. Thank you for reaching, it means so much.”
Zoe also reached out to thank the team behind a documentary about suicide, writing: “Thank you AngelaSamata and BBC documentaries team for #LifeAfterSuicide documentary.”
Following Billy’s death, devastated Zoe pulled out of all work commitments, including the filming for the final of the BBC’s new baking programme The Big Family Cooking Showdown.
Billy, who was a cameraman for the Antiques Roadshow and had been dating Zoe for six months, was found dead at his flat in Putney, South West London.
Zoe not long split from her husband of many years Norman Cook, with whom she is still friends, and her family were pleased she had found love with Billy.

Her dad Johnny Ball, 78, was particularly pleased.
He said: “We are very happy that she is finding a new lease of life. She is very happy at the moment and that is lovely.”
