He was crowned king of the jungle and now Harry Redknapp could be king of the dancefloor as he’s been tipped to join Strictly Come Dancing.
The retired football manager is believed to be in the running for the new series of the dance show after bookies slashed the odds on him appearing.
Harry, 72, is now a favourite to don his dancing shoes as betting company Ladbrokes have put the odds at 5-4.
Harry won the heart of the nation when he appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity last year, so he would certainly be a popular signing for the BBC1 show.
Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati said: “Harry’s clearly high on Strictly chiefs’ wanted list and the odds are tumbling.”
Harry has previously been in talks to do Strictly.
He revealed he was contemplating a stint on the show last year, but he was offered a spot in the jungle (with a rumoured £500,000 cheque attached) and decided to go Down Under instead.
The star said his son Jamie Redknapp also had his reservations about him hitting the ballroom.
Harry told the MailOnline: “I told Jamie I was thinking of doing Strictly and I don’t think he was pleased about it.
“And so I was offered the Jungle at the same time and chose to do that.”
Jamie separated from wife Louise Redknapp in 2017, not long after her appearance on Strictly in 2016, after 19 years of marriage.
