It was the Queen who made the term ‘annus horribilis’ famous, Her Majesty adopting the Latin phrase to describe her less than favourable year in 1992.
But Katie Price would have just as much right to use it after the 12 months she’s had.
The former glamour model, 39, has had to endure everything from marital problems to dental woes, kidnapping threats to her poor mum’s terminal illness.
So you can’t blame her for wanting to make a BIG change to her life for the coming year…
Katie has revealed that she intends to start the new year with a completely clean slate – and that means dropping the personas that have made her famous.
The mum-of-five told Reveal magazine: “I can’t wait to put all of this drama behind me. It’s been the worst year for me, and I just want to put it behind me and start afresh.
“I plan to get rid of Jordan, get rid of Katie Price and start as a new person.
“I’ll keep the name but I’ll be a brand-new person. I’d like to have no dramas in 2018.”

So what exactly does that mean? Is she planning to ditch Kieran Hayler, the husband who cheated on her with her one-time best friend and the couple’s nanny?
Will she curtail her social-media posts, which seem to provoke controversy on an almost daily basis?
And what about that public spat with Love Island’s Chris Hughes – will she finally bury the hatchet with him?
Speaking of Katie’s social-media activity, only yesterday she was getting it in the neck from her followers after she shared what appeared to be a ‘sponsored’ Instagram post just hours after breaking down on Loose Women while discussing her mum Amy’s illness.
Captioning a picture in which she was seen sitting alongside some ClaireaBella goods, she wrote: “Today’s been a difficult day but thanks for everyone’s support.
“Chilling tonight checking out all my new @claireabellaltd goodies planning all my Christmas presents.”

Responding to the update, one critic moaned: “Today has been a bad day? But still cashing in on a photo.”
And another added: “So difficult, you’re plugging ClaireaBella?!?”
Just take it on the chin, Katie – you won’t have to worry about such things next year…
