Helen Flanagan has shared two new photos with her baby daughter Delilah after giving her backing to a new breastfeeding campaign.
The Coronation Street star, who gave birth to her second child in June, told fans she “feels strongly” about being able to breastfeed Delilah in public.
Helen, 28, said she was speaking out in support of World Breastfeeding Week, which runs from August 1 to August 7.

She said: “It’s been great to see breastfeeding hitting the headlines this week with it being World Breastfeeding Week.
“I still don’t understand why it needs to be something mums should do behind closed doors. Feeding my baby in public is something I feel strongly about.”

Helen went on to reveal she’s supporting the Lansinoh Family Feed With Confidence Awards, which have been “created to celebrate the places, people and healthcare teams who support mums to do just that!”

The awards aim to recognise any places or people who have made breastfeeding a positive experience.
Helen said she’s nominating her mum, explaining: “[She] has been so supportive to me in my breastfeeding journey and always given me the confidence to feed confidently in public places. Together we can encourage mums to feed confidently wherever and whenever our baby’s need!”
In an interview with the Lansinoh Family Feed With Confidence, Helen added that she’s found it “very hit and miss in terms of people’s attitude to breastfeeding in public.”

Helen said some people and places have been “very supportive” but she’s also “heard nasty comments”, and she wants to help create more understanding for those women who do choose to breastfeed in public.
Helen and her footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair are also parents to daughter Matilda, three.
They welcomed Delilah on June 22.

Helen and Scott announced a second baby was on the way at Christmas, and confirmed it would be another little girl before birth.
She previously told OK! magazine: “We would have been thrilled if it was a girl or a boy, I’m just lucky to be able to have a baby. I will love this baby just as much as I do Matilda.”
Helen and Scott became engaged in June when he popped the question at Disney.
