Helen Flanagan is pregnant with second child – but waited five days to tell boyfriend!

What lovely news just before Christmas!

There’s another baby on the way for Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan!

The soap actress – best known to millions of us as Rosie Webster – confirmed her happy baby news in a new interview with OK! magazine.

Helen, 27, revealed she waited five days to tell long-time footballer beau Scott Sinclair, 28, as he was away on holiday when she took the pregnancy test.

She said: “I was very happy, but I was a bit taken aback as this baby wasn’t in the plan. I knew I would feel a lot better once I’d told Scott.”

Scott, who plays for Scottish club Celtic, added: “It was a little bit of a surprise! I was away in Dubai with my family. Helen couldn’t come as she was filming. She found out on a Thursday but had to wait until I got home five days later to tell me.”

Helen also revealed she took four pregnancy tests to be sure!

Congrats, guys!

The couple, who have been together since 2009, are already parents to daughter Matilda, two.

While Helen and Scott said the pregnancy was a bit of a shock, Helen did say in an interview with OK! magazine two years ago that she’d love to start trying for a sibling for Matilda when the little girl turned two.

“We might give Matilda a brother or sister when she is around two,” she had said.

So bang on time, then!

“I definitely want more children as it’s just the best thing in the world,” Helen added. “Scott seems happy about that too – maybe we’ll end up with our own football team.”

Helen has frequently gushed about how much she loves being a mother.

Appearing on Loose Women last year, she said: “Life has changed massively but completely for the better. I’m absolutely in my element being a mum.

“She just made me so much happier.”

And speaking to The Sun earlier this year, Helen said she was born to be a mother. Aww.

“Since I became a mother myself to my daughter Matilda, I understand my own mum a lot better and appreciate her more,” said Helen.

“From the age of 10, I knew I wanted to be a parent. I used to love getting catalogues and choosing baby clothes for my imaginary future child.

“Being a mum just makes me so content and I’d definitely love more kids in the future.”

What lovely Christmas news!
