Who knew a chicken sarnie could help get you through?

She may look blooming as she gets through her second trimester of pregnancy, but Helen Flanagan is still suffering with the occasional bout of sickness.

The 27-year-old revealed to OK! magazine when she announced her pregnancy in December last year, that she had been dealing with the same severe sickness as the Duchess of Cambridge.

She said at the time: “I have just been really poorly. I couldn’t go into work and do any filming. I had hypermesis gravidarum, it lasted for five weeks. It doesn’t sound like a long time but I was just so ill. Luckily it cleared up at ten weeks.”

“I know some women have a horrific time and end up in hospital for nine months, so I was lucky, but it was horrendous.”

But she has revealed that she is still getting the odd bout of sickness along the way.

She posted on her Instastories that she was feeling sick and revealed the things that help get her through.

She said: “Got pregnancy sickness tonight, I’m really good with it now but I only get sick if I’m overly tired.”

The advice was written over a picture of a Marks and Spencer chicken salad sandwich, which was one of the only things she’s able to eat when she feels so rough.

She revealed: “Anyway these sandwiches are one of the only things that work for me when I’m sick but need to eat, as the hungrier you are, the worst your sickness is x”

“That and crisps, fresh fruit and flavoured water, sounds bad normal water makes me feel sicky when I’m sick.”

“Also sprite is a good one for sickness, I know its not the healthiest, these are just things that work got me with sickness in pregnancy x”

Helen already has a daughter with footballer Scott Sinclair, two year old Matilda and the family live in Glasgow.

The star is thought to be due in late May/early June time, and is still worried about the birth, even though she’s already done it once.

Helen revealed: “The thought of giving birth absolutely terrifies me, it always has. It petrifies me. Before I went into labour last time, I cried. I was really scared.”

She also revealed that the new baby will be born in Glasgow, where Scott plays for football club Celtic.
