They were delighted to welcome their first son last week and Helen Glover and Steve Backshall have now decided what to call their newborn.
Sharing his moniker with her Instagram followers, the proud mum wrote beside a black and white snap of her cradling their baby: “Finally decided on a name! Introducing Logan James David Backshall.”
Steve shared the same image as he revealed their choice to his followers.
Fans of the Olympic rower and her former Strictly star husband were keen to congratulate the couple on their new arrival and praise their choice of name.
“What lovely names, huge congratulations again to you both,” wrote one.
“Congratulations to you all, beautiful name,” said another.
“Yay!!! Hey Logan, what a wonderful little name!” added a third.
According to Bounty, Logan is an increasingly popular choice with new parents and it’s expected to be one of the highest climbers in the charts in 2018.
Previously Helen, 31, had joked that they were calling their son “Burrito” due to Steve’s talent for swaddling.
“Baby Backshall still has no name. Guess at some point we should think of one as we can’t refer to him as Burrito Backshall (due to @backshall.steve brilliant swaddle skills) forever! But for now it’s first sunsets, cygnets and snuggles for the little one,” she wrote last week when posting an image of father and son.
Animal expert Steve, 44, and his gold-medal-winning wife announced the arrival of their first baby on July 24.

Posting a cute picture of his tiny foot, Helen wrote: “Steve and I will are excited to welcome Baby Boy Backshall to the world. We promise to make it a great one for you little man.”
Logan was a twin but sadly Helen miscarried his sibling in April.
Steve shared their unhappy news on Twitter writing: “Many thanks for all your kind messages. We’ve had the news that one twin has not survived, but are still looking forward to our new addition this summer.”
Now the couple have cause to celebrate with the safe arrival of Logan and Helen is already teaching him about his talented parents.
She shared an image on Instagram of her taking the tot to the gold postbox in her home town in Cornwall which was painted to mark her winning at the London 2012 Olympics with her rowing partner Heather Stanning.
They went on to defend their title at the 2016 Rio Olympics before Helen stepped out of the boat to marry Steve and start a family.

She wrote alongside the picture of Logan and the postbox: “Six years ago today @heathermstanning and I won the first @teamgb gold of #London2012. Tonight I’ll be exchanging national anthems for nappy changes..and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Logan’s first trip to the gold post box to celebrate.”
