Poor Helen Skelton got the shock of her life when she signed up for a “gentle bungee” only to find herself flung high up in the sky at speed.
The television presenter, 34, had fans chuckling after she shared a video to Instagram showing what happens when you don’t properly investigate the fairground ride you’ve signed up for.
Looking calm and collected in shorts and a vest top, the blonde star was all smiles as a ride operator made sure she was safely strapped into her harness.
She shared a joke with her family off camera and got herself ready for what she believed to be a “gentle” ride… only to find herself soaring upwards when the operator cut her loose from the stand.
Shrieks could be heard as Helen became airborne and realised just what she’d let herself in for.

But seeing the funny side, she posted the video to Instagram so everyone could have a chuckle.
She admitted: “Genuinely had NO idea that’s what this did. I thought it was a gentle bungee. #dadmademe #husbandsstilllaughing.”
And it wasn’t just Helen’s husband laughing, her fans also found it hysterical.
One wrote: “Think I’ve watched this about ten times already. How funny!”
Another said: “This made me laugh so hard! Well done! I would have screamed the place down!!”
A third added: “Seriously I laughed so hard when I saw this! Classic Helen!”
Helen has been soaking up the sun in France, where she lives with husband Richie Myler and their sons Ernie, two, and Louis, who was born in April.
She shared a sweet family picture to Instagram showing the group enjoying ice cream during their day at the fair, adding the caption: “CHEERS to summer nights and ice cream.”
Another pic showed her and Richie cuddling up on the beach, with a bikini-clad Helen telling fans it was a “rare” photo of them together.
Helen also posted an arty black and white photo showing her jumping off a rock into the water.
Looking slightly terrified, the star captioned the snap: “JUMP!”
Her relaxed family time in France came after Helen finished work presenting the swimming World Championships from Budapest.

It was her first TV job since giving birth to Louis but Helen told the Daily Express before jetting out that she was “lucky” her career allows her to be at home with her boys for most of the time.
“I’m so lucky with my job, because I can dip in and out,” she said.
“Being freelance suits me. I’m in Budapest for just over a week, then I’ll be back spending time with the kids.
