And, Helen Skelton is also a mother to two beautiful little boys.
Now, she wants the world to know she is not prepared to choose between family and the job she loves – she wants to ‘have it all’!
Helen took to her Instagram page to show her support for March of the Mummies, an event protesting maternity discrimination in the workplace.
Sharing an adorable picture of her with her two boys, she wrote an impassioned caption throwing her weight behind the cause.
The message read: “Call me greedy but I want to have it all: Time with my kids is the most important thing to me but I want to be able to work and have a career too.
“That’s why I will be joining the March of the Mummies in London on Tuesday 31st October at mid day. (Sister marches in Cardiff and Belfast).
“The number of women who are forced out of work when they get pregnant has doubled in ten years.
“The U.K. Has some of the most expensive childcare in the world. It’s not worth many mums working. Paternity rights in the U.K. Fall way behind some of our European Neighbors.
“It’s not just about finding a balance that benefits our families, government stats suggest the empowerment of women is worth billions to the U.K. Economy.
“We need those mamas and their skills!”
Fans showed support for her stance in the comments, with many wading into the debate with their own stories of discrimination.
