Hilarious Facebook page builds 1.9million followers insulting people’s cooking

It's the most-talked about Facebook page at the moment

| Updated:

Hilarious Facebook page Rate My Plate has become the latest social media phenomenon – and it’s absolutely brilliant.

With more than 1.9 million likes and almost 400,000 active members, Rate My Plate asks its users to share photos of their dinner, breakfast, lunch and everything in between for its followers to judge what they think.

However, some people’s meals receive thousands of comments for all the wrong (right) reasons!

The page works by allowing people to upload photos of their home-made feasts to get feedback from fellow users.

Rate My Plate was brought to the public’s attention even more by one particular post, which went viral earlier this month.

A user called “Carol C” has now become somewhat of an internet sensation after posting a picture of her plate of bacon and eggs.

The image was caption: “Bacon, Eggs & Beans by Carol C.”

The post has received over 350,000 comments.

Her snap of her fry-up went viral and has been shared over 37,000 times.

One user commented on the post: “Did you run out of electric half way through cooking that?”

Another person wrote: “What did you cook that in Carol, the tumble dryer?” while a third added: “That’s a nice looking meal apart from the bacon, eggs and beans.”

Since then, other users have been sharing pics of their brekkies and have been getting absolutely “roasted” by fellow followers.

One person called Davey N uploaded a photo of his plate which included one sausage, one black pudding, one fried egg and tinned tomatoes.

However, many users were wondering where the rest of his fry-up was!

One person said: “I don’t even think that classes as ¼ English,” while another wrote: “The egg doesn’t even look like it wants to be there. It looks frightened.”

This week, one user called Shaun A posted a snap of his “early lunch” which was a mushy peas sandwich.

Other users have been sharing photos of their unique combinations of foods, including one person who put ketchup all over their pasta!

Meanwhile, another person shared a snap of their Wotsit sandwich!
