Five years after finishing the show, The Weakest Link is coming back to our screens.
Anne Robinson, 72, who hosted the tea time quiz series from 2000 until 2012, is set to reign as “Queen of Mean” once more.
The presenter will front a special edition of the show for Children In Need in November.
Yes people, it’s only a one-off, but there could still be a chance that it could return to screens permanently as a primetime Saturday night slot might be available.

A source told The Sun: “The Weakest Link was one of the most exciting and original quizzes in television history, and left a huge void when it came off air.
“Nothing has really replaced it so the prospect of its return is really exciting.”
What’s more, if the show actually does come back with a full series, there will be some huge changes.
Members of the public are to be replaced with celebrities.
The insider added: “This time around, it will be a celebrities at the helm which will really give it a fresh and fun new feel.
“Terms have been agreed in principle, and the BBC are hopeful of attracting some great – albeit brave – celeb names.”

Anne has confirmed the news to The Sun, saying: “I’ve been chatting to the BBC controller of Entertainment who has had the idea of reviving the show.

“Who knows? I’m a bit on the old side for television and I can’t bake cakes. But I’m quite good at marinating my tongue in acid.”
The show saw contestants try and win money by answering a ‘chain’ of questions with the amount of cash going up with each correct answer.
The contestant that answered the most incorrectly and was voted off by their fellow players, was faced with the infamous words: “You are the weakest link, goodbye!” from a stern-faced Anne.
We cannot wait to hear that again!
