It’s the decision that has had Strictly fans up in arms and today Peter Andre revealed he’s also Team Aston and can’t believe the popstar was voted off the show at the weekend.
Peter, who appeared on Strictly himself in 2015, said the judges’ decision to send Aston home “did not sit well” with him as he was interviewed on Good Morning Britain.
Repeating a video message he had posted about it on Twitter, Peter told presenters Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins: “I have been on the show and when my time was up, my time was up. What was I going to say? I wasn’t good enough to stay till the end.
“Someone like Aston I look at differently. The guy was great. To go from the week before having the highest score to the next week being bottom of the leaderboard, in the dance-off and out, it didn’t sit well with me.”
Peter has a slightly biased view on the matter since he’s friends with Aston’s professional partner Janette Manrara, who was his partner when he was on the show.
Many Strictly fans have agreed with him though and were shocked to see Aston go at the weekend when he has shown such flare throughout the series. He’s topped the leaderboard on some weeks and was a favourite to win.

But the JLS singer didn’t get the votes last weekend so he found himself in the dance-off along with Mollie King and AJ Pritchard after his Viennese Waltz failed to impress the judges, resulting in score of 25.
The judges are told to base their decision on the dance-off alone, so are not supposed to take into account previous form when deciding who will stay.
As Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli were torn over who to save, it was left to head judge Shirley Ballas to make the final decision. She opted to save Mollie, who had also been in the dance-off the week before, as she said her performance was the better of the two.
Meanwhile, back on GMB, Peter also had other more serious matters to talk about.
He was on the show to raise awareness of cancer symptoms, after losing his brother, Andrew, to the disease five years ago.
He said his family are still having come to terms with their loss.
“It tore our family apart and we’ve never got over it,” he said.
Peter urged viewers to see a doctor immediately if they have any concerns over their health.
He said: “If you have a niggle, don’t ignore it. You might think it is nothing and wait to go to the doctor when you’re really sick but then it could be too late.”

Peter said he was been working with the charity Cancer Research UK in his brother’s memory. He urged people to support the charity so fewer families suffer in the future like his has.
