“It’s an iconic show and I can’t wait to play my part in it.
“Fi Browning is a hugely exciting character and I’m really looking forward to working with Sean and all the team, and revealing more about her.”
The soap’s producer can’t wait. Sean O’Connor said: “I’m really thrilled that we have been able to tempt Lisa Faulkner back to TV drama and back to the BBC.
“Fi Browning is something of a departure for EastEnders; a no-nonsense but sophisticated businesswoman with strength and vulnerability.
“But does she have an agenda? And who – or what – has she set her sights on?”
Oooh!
The gorgeous actress has made a name for herself as a cook after winning MasterChef back in 2010 and is in a relationship with the show’s judge John Torode.
She was previously with EastEnders actor Chris Coghill who played Tony King, the sexual predator who abused Whitney Dean while in a relationship with Bianca Jackson. He left the show back in 2009.
EastEnders also revealed a huge storyline with Max Branning and his evil revenge scheme.

The savvy businessman, played by actor Jake Wood, is determined to destroy Walford’s community after he was framed for the murder of Lucy Beale.
With Fi having an agenda too, it seems pretty likely that she might join Max on his mission.
Max plans to target the beloved Queen Vic, where current landlord Mick Carter is struggling to keep it afloat after huge financial pressures.
