Holly Willoughby admits she “very deliberately” never talks about her weight

Holly explains why she has never revealed the secrets behind her slimmer figure

Holly Willoughby has admitted she “very deliberately” never talks about her weight.

The mum-of-three’s figure became a talking point when fans noticed she had slimmed down following the birth of third child Chester in September 2014.

But the This Morning presenter, 38, has never spoken about how she shed the weight, and has now revealed she doesn’t think it’s “helpful” to other women who feel pressured to slim down.

“Yes, I very deliberately don’t talk about it,” Holly said. “Just because I don’t think it’s helpful to the conversation for women generally. As long as you are healthy and happy, that’s really all that matters.”

She added to the Sunday Times magazine: “I just didn’t want to do that. It’s a personal thing for me, and I think that people get obsessive with it.”

Holly said she interviews parents who have lost their children to anorexia or have children who are suffering from it, adding that “they sit there and say, ‘It doesn’t help that there’s such a fascination with weight at the moment.'”

Holly added: “Everybody knows what leads to a healthy lifestyle, but it’s not up to me to give you a blow-by-blow account of what I’ve eaten that day. It’s not helpful, and it’s not what’s important.”

In the same interview, Holly praised her stylist Angie Smith, who has been working with her since 2015.

The presenter said Angie told her she needed to start getting her legs out more as she made a determined attempt to shake up Holly’s style.

While Holly admits she’s “not brilliant” when it comes to fashion, that hasn’t stopped her daily wardrobe choices becoming a widely-discussed topic among her many Instagram followers.

While the presenter has remained tight-lipped about her weight loss secrets, her Celebrity Juice co-star Keith Lemon previously said her svelte figure was partly down to boxing.

He told the Sun Online: “I’ve heard a rumour that it’s some sort of boxing. I asked if she was going to be bringing a fitness DVD out, because everyone’s going to be saying, ‘I want a body like Holly Willoughby!'”

Keith went on: “Ages ago she came back from holiday and I said she’d lost weight, I could see it in her face. Then everyone picked up on it, and we were at a party a while later and I said, ‘I bet you’re sick to death of everyone asking how you’ve lost it… but how have you lost it?’ Holly’s always been a total babe.”

And it’s not just Keith who has been spilling her fitness secrets – a pilates instructor who previously worked with Holly said the presenter employed her to help work on her core after she gave birth.

She shared: “I worked with Holly for several months, teaching her privately at her home once a week.

“Holly had postnatal matt work classes, which concentrated on strengthening and toning her core. The exercises help trim the waist and flatten the stomach.”
