This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby may have taken home the Best Daytime Show gong at the National Television Awards, but she ended her night in tears after losing out to Ant McPartlin in the Best Presenter category.
The 37-year-old presenter is said to have been overwhelmed by support from her This Morning colleagues when she didn’t win the award, which was won by Ant and Declan Donnelly for the 18th year in a row.

Insiders at the bash revealed Holly left the 02 Arena 30 minutes before the ceremony finished following the surprise upset.
An industry source to The Sun: “Holly had a good cry with her husband Dan.
“She was totally overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from her This Morning crew after the ceremony.
“They were all telling her how loved she is and how they couldn’t believe she didn’t win the gong.
“The amount of genuine empathy got too much for her.”

Holly, who had stepped into Ant’s shoes to present I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here alongside Dec after Ant took toe out to recover from his addiction issues, had been partying hard from the beginning of the night.
Alongside her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield, she sipped tequila from a hip flask, after drinking champagne before heading to the annual ceremony.
However, not only did Holly call it a night early, but Phil left the bash just 20 minutes after her at 11pm.

Ant and Dec have received a backlash from viewers claiming Ant didn’t “deserve” to be in the running for an award after taking 10 months off last year.
However Phil and Holly heaped praise on the Geordie duo.

Speaking about Ant’s acceptance speech, Phil said: “That was a lovely speech. A big relief for them, a hell of a year.”
Holly added: “Lovely for Dec also. Ant said it, didn’t he? It was lovely. There were just so many of those moments that were just right and lovely.”
