During a soap segment with This Morning’s Queen of Soaps Sharon Marshall, Holly and Phil teased details of their cameo.
“Well, someone we know has got their cameo coming up!” Sharon said.
Phil replied: “Literally in the last commercial break our script has been delivered.”
Holly then chimed in: “I’m so nervous, can I just say.”
Flicking through the script pages, Phil teased his co-presenter saying: “Look at all your lines!”
“I know!” Holly shrieked. “I’m not very good at this sort of thing.”
Sharon revealed the pair have “very funny” scenes on the Cobbles.
“It’s very funny,” she said. “I’ve just had a flick through the script, it’s very good.”
Sharon then joked to Holly: “Don’t mess it up!”
Holly replied: “You’re not helping Sharon!”
Last week, Corrie boss Kate Oates announced that the much-loved presenting duo will be heading to Weatherfield to help Rosie’s character say goodbye.
Actress Helen Flanagan, who plays Rosie, is eight months pregnant and leaving the soap temporarily on maternity leave.
Kate told the Metro: “Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are coming in for a bit of fun and part of Helen Flanagan’s exit story.
“We’re kind of replaying a bit of a trick we have used before because Rosie has already been on shows but it will be great comedy.”
Kate revealed Phil and Holly will play themselves in the scenes.
“I had a couple of hopes where I thought I could get them to slightly play against type!” she explained. “They’re such good sports – I am very happy.”
During This Morning, Phil insisted they are going to film “the best scene” viewers have ever watched.
