When you watch Hollyoaks, are you starting to feel really old as more and more impossibly pretty people join the cast?
Well, there’sgood news, as over the next few months we are going to be revisited by some older cast members.
We’re not sure yet which oldies are set for a return but fingers crossed Jeremy Edwards and Wil Mellor are among them.
But the first classic star to mark their return is Sarah Jane Buckley who played Kathy Barnes.

Er… who?
You remember her! Of course you do!
She left the soap back in 2008 when her husband Mike threw her out of the house.
Well, some nine years later she is set to return to Hollyoaks for daughter Amy’s funeral.
“The new scenes are going to be explosive and she hopes bosses will be suitably impressed,” a source told the Sun.
“She is one of a few of the old characters making a return over the next few months.
“Sarah has made no secret of wanting to return to the soap from the day she left nine years ago.”
After being written out of the soap, Sarah had begged producers to bring her back.
“I suggested that I should come back, demand to have the babies from Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) and have a young toyboy, which would throw Mike Barnes (Tony Hirst) into a right tizz,” she said at the time.
“I think it would be an amazing storyline for her to come back and cause loads of trouble in the village with this younger man.
“I wish they’d bring her back. I had so much more to do with her. I was sad to leave. I didn’t want to leave at all.”
Hunk Duncan James, who plays Amy’s other half Ryan, revealed recently that his character thinks his dead wife may have been murdered.
“He’s a policeman he realises the situation isn’t right,” the former Blue stud said on Good Morning Britain.
“With his detective hat on he thinks this could be a murder.”
One of the main suspects is Ste Hay – Kieron a Richardson – who in a trail for this week’s episodes is seen lashing out at his ex and mother of his children Amy Barnes.

Of course, Hollyoaks plot lines never quite pan out the way you expect them to so we’ll just have to see who did what to whom!
