Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe may not be engaged to boyfriend Greg Lake just yet – but she’s dropped a MAJOR hint that marriage is definitely on the cards.
The soap star, best known for playing Chester’s Mercedes McQueen, has been with former Geordie Shore star Greg for the past four years and they welcomed a son, Daye, in June.

When asked that question in a new interview with Closer magazine, Jennifer seemed to confirm a wedding WOULD happen.
And when it does, it will have a very modern twist!
While many of us still veer towards the traditional invite in the post, Jennifer and Greg have embraced technology and will issue their invites via WhatsApp!
Jen said: “We’ve told our friends to expect a text message at some point over the next few years.
“We’ll start a group on WhatsApp and say, ‘We’re going to go here [to get married], who can make it?’
“It’ll be very casual – we just want to chill on the beach with loads of rose and our family and friends.”
Sounds perfect!
Jennifer added: “I feel in such a secure place. I think it’s a bit of everything: growing older, having a great partner and being a mum.
“It’s just the best feeling.”
It’s not the first time Jennifer has alluded to marriage with Greg, who left Geordie Shore after series one and the first round of specials.
Speaking to OK! magazine last year, the star said: “I think speaking about it takes the romance out of it. I think it’s down to the guy, so I’ll just leave him to it!
“But it will happen one day, we see it in our future.”
Greg, meanwhile, told the mag he’s already envisioned the big day in his head.
He said: “Because Jen’s dad passed away when she was young, I want Daye to take his mum down the aisle.
“I want to wear a linen suit and have it on the beach with a live band, a big old school barbecue with proper chefs, and a little bar.
“It will be amazing.”

Jennifer’s currently on maternity leave from Hollyoaks, with her last scenes as Mercedes airing back in July, as the character decided to head to the US to build a relationship with son Bobby, who lives with his grandfather Carl.
She’s due back at work in June 2018.
