And his latest post showed a photograph of him ‘ringing the bell’ that signifies his last day of radiotherapy.

“Today was my last day of radiotherapy treatment,” he wrote. “Thank you to all the people that have treated me.”

And he added: “Still a long road ahead but staying positive.”

Lots of fans immediately wished Johnny well.

One said he was an “amazing man” while another said he was “inspirational”.

Johnny, who played Chris Harrington in the Aussie soap and appeared on Australian X Factor, was told he might be depressed when the symptoms of his brain tumour first appeared.

“I’d even gone to the doctor and the doctor said: ‘You know, all the symptoms seem like depression’,” Johnny told Ten’s The Project.

And when his tumour was diagnosed, doctors told him the pain he’d been suffering from was because of the pressure the tumour was putting on his brain.

“The surgeon said if I hadn’t gone to the hospital that day, I would have died in my sleep that night,” Johnny added.
