Hasn’t this Honey G joke worn thin yet? Er… it would seem not.
And the North Weezy rapper is loving the limelight and taking herself oh so seriously.
Now, in the wake of stars such as Lily Allen, Professor Green and Sinitta, er, disssin’ her, she has decided to hit back at her ‘haters’.
“These people saying this sort of stuff they don’t know who they’re messing with.”
Honey G, real name Anna Georgette Gilford, has had a tough time it lately from fellow musicians who think she is pretty much poking fun at the world of hip hop, while Jesy Nelson from Little Mix has suggested she is just an actress.
And Honey says she’s had enough and is keen to point out that she is deadly serious about her career and not acting.
“It’s annoying and obviously it’s quite insulting to be called an actress,” she raged. “I mean literally that’s one of the most ridiculous things that I’ve ever heard.
“I’ve been a musician the whole of my life, she explained. “I’ve got a musical background I’ve got a degree from one of the best universities for music production.
“I’ve been rapping and producing for about 15 years. I’m also involved closely with BBC Radio 1Xtra which is the UK’s biggest black music radio station.
“So yeah, she needs her head checked because she doesn’t really know what she’s chatting about.”
She also hit back at Professor Green who accused her of taking the mick out of rap, and said that the fact she has made it through the sixth week of live shows proves the public are behind her.
She also reminded him that Snoop Dogg and Fifty Cent are keen to work with her and challenged Pro Green with an incendiary “Back down or get smacked down.”
But it was poor old Lily Allen, who said she found the X Factor act “offensive”, who got it in the neck most from the Honey Monster!
“She’s obviously feeling threatened by a white woman coming onto the scene and rapping and coming out and smashing it and shutting the whole thing down,” the angry star told The Sun in a Facebook Live interview with Dan Wootton.
“I think she’s being spiteful and malicious. She’s got a sharp tongue.
“She’s obviously saying this type of thing out of spite – she’s being spiteful,” she continued. “I don’t see how she can say she finds it offensive. She’s not exactly the spokesperson of the black community. She better take her jealousy elsewhere.”
Wow, Honey, Lily and the rest of popdom have been warned! Boom!
