The drip feed of celebs starring in the reboot of Dancing on Ice has been slightly underwhelming, if we’re being completely honest.
We were expecting a showstopping cavalcade of A-listers, but so far we’ve been left a little disappointed.
So when we heard that the latest strongly rumoured contestant had a royal connection, our ears definitely pricked up!
Geordie beauty Donna Air is suspected to be the next star to sign up to the show, which will make for some fascinating viewing.
She dated Kate Middleton’s brother James off-and-on for more than four years, but they called it quits on their relationship for good last month.
And their last public appearance was at Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews in May.

Although it’s rumoured that James – who is 18 years Donna’s junior – is trying to win the 38-year-old TV personality back.
He may have a hard job, if Donna’s as ice-cool on skates as she is in front of a camera! A friend said of the breakup: “James hopes the split will not be permanent.”
A TV source told the Mirror: “She will be a great signing. Not least as she now brings with her the added glamour of being close to the Royals.”
If Donna is confirmed for the show, she’ll be joining a host of other celebrities including Cheryl Baker, Jake Quickenden, Brooke Vincent, Kem Cetinay, rugby player Max Evans and Bake Off 2016 winner Candice Brown.
The contestants are being announced one by one over the next several weeks, with a good bit of time to go before the January start of the show.
Although the celebs will need as long as possible to get used to their complicated routines and the difficult job of dancing while on ice skates.
Torvill and Dean will now be judges rather than mentors, and they’ll be joined by Jason Gardiner and, it’s rumoured, Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.

While Holly and Phil return to presenting duties, something they haven’t done since Dancing on Ice was last on screens way back in 2014.
Meanwhile, we wonder if Donna will bring any of her royal pals to watch the show – imagine seeing Prince Harry cheering her on from the sidelines!
