And not only has he said he’s never going back, he also slammed working on the soap calling it ‘unfulfilling’. Ouch.
Ben joined the cast as Ian Beale’s son back in 2013 but bowed out 18 months later when Hollywood came a-knocking.
Since then his film career has gone from strength to strength, starring in hits such as X-Men: Apocalypse and the upcoming Bohemian Rhapsody.
He’s also appearing alongside stars Jennifer Connelly and Andie McDowell in new flick Only The Brave.
So why would he head back to Walford?
Speaking to Now magazine, Ben explained why a reprise isn’t on the cards.
He said: “It’s such a hard thing for an actor, working on a soap. You’re constantly left feeling unfulfilled.
“You have very little time to concentrate on anything else. I’m not slating the process. It’s just the nature of the beast. I really enjoyed working on EastEnders.”
Ben also spoke out about the stigma associated with working on a soap saying that some actors fail to make the transition after leaving.
He said: “It’s one of the hardest jobs there is in the acting world. You’re making two hours of film a week, whereas when you’re on a film you’re spending four months making two hours of film.
“Can you imagine how busy it is in a soap? So I’ve been very fortunate.”
Ben still has roots in Albert Square, with his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Branning, bringing up their son Louie there.

Going by Ben’s words, it’s looking like a no. Sorry.
