Sheepish Dan Osborne has branded himself an “idiot” after smashing his face on the bottom of a swimming pool.
The former TOWIE cast member, 27, seems to have sustained cuts and bruises on his nose and forehead in the accident – but fans need not worry too much as his injuries do not appear to be serious.
Indeed, the embarrassment of faceplanting may sting more than the actual contact between his skull and pool tiles after the Celebrity Big Brother contestant owned up to his mishap on his Instagram account earlier today.
Mimicking how his head thudded on the pool floor across a couple of Instagram stories, Dan told his one million followers he was at fault for the accident after he jumped into the water.

“Look at the state of my face,” Dan said.
He continued: “What an idiot.”
The 6ft 3 inch gym fan also joked he was “thick” for damaging his features in a separate post.
“What thick [blank] face plants the bottom of a swimming pool?”

“And cuts his head and nose?” Dan continued, adding an emoji with a raised hand.
Dan’s social media activity seems to suggest he could have suffered the unfortunate blow to his mug just hours ago.
The cuts are visible in a cute family snap Dan shared of himself (wearing the same bath robe as in his Stories), son Teddy and daughters Ella and Mia this afternoon.
But in another snap uploaded a couple of hours earlier showing him hold three-month old tot Mia, the marks to his face are nowhere to be seen.
