I’m A Celebrity viewers hail ‘best episode yet’ as campmates put on hilarious panto

They played their parts so well

Fans of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are calling last night’s (03.12.19) episode the best yet after watching the campmates come together to put on a jungle panto.

For their production of Critterella, GMB‘s Kate Garraway played the part of narrator, while James Haskell and Andy Whyment were the Ugly Sisters, Nadine Coyle the titular Critterella and Caitlyn Jenner the Fairy Godmother.

Ian wright and Myles Stephenson, meanwhile, were both Princes Charming, while Jac Jossa was a random kangaroo and Roman Kemp, doing his best Bolton accent, was Paddy McGuinness.

It was a Trial of sorts, as the campmates had to act out their parts while being covered in creepies or, Kate’s case, being zapped by an electric shock machine.

The contestants were later rewarded with a night in a pub, complete with beers, french fries and a karaoke machine.

Andy then wowed his campmates and viewers at home with his impressive singing voice, as the Coronation Street actor kicked off the karaoke proceedings by confidently belting out Mr. Brightside by The Killers.

Afterwards, Roman humbly reflected on the moment and admitted:

When we were around that microphone singing Shaking Stevens, I had a bit of a moment where I looked around and realised, I’m never going to get this opportunity ever again, and have the smile on my face that I did have, and it was really nice.”

It seems viewers at home were impressed with the segment and the episode as a whole, as many rushed to Twitter to hail the panto and call it the best moment of the series so far.

One said: “The panto in #ImACeleb might be the best television I’ve seen all year.”

That panto is 100% the best thing to happen this series.

Another wrote: “Omg. The jungle panto is the actual best thing ever.”

A third put: “The Panto was the best #ImACeleb segment in years and years.”

Someone else tweeted: “That panto is 100% the best thing to happen this series #ImACeleb.”

“The jungle panto is the best thing to happen all series #imaceleb,” said a fifth.

A sixth wrote: “Nine stars, jungle panto and jungle arms, karaoke, and James leaving with Ian also in the running to go? The best episode of the season for sure #imaceleb.”

Another viewer said on Twitter: “Best ep! The panto, Andy doing Mr. Brightside and calling ants ‘scumbags’, Caitlyn not having a clue what any of those songs were and not knowing a Kanye song, Roman having to read lyrics to his own dad’s song and saying he preferred Duran Duran topped off with James leaving, 10/10 #ImACeleb.”

Elsewhere in last night’s episode, former rugby player James Haskell became the fourth celebrity booted from the camp.
