Scarlett Moffatt could be heading back to the jungle – but this time she won’t be eating anything dodgy or struggling to sleep in a camp bed.
Instead, she is being lined up to take over presenting duties of the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Extra Camp.
The Gogglebox star is believed to have got the gig in preference to her fellow Geordie and Queen of the Jungle, Vicky Pattison.
ITV bosses have been impressed with how well Scarlett performed on the recent series of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and are hoping to recreate their great chemistry in the jungle.

Whereas former Geordie Shore star Vicky faced a barrage of criticism from viewers when she presented the show last year, alongside Chris Ramsay, Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon.
“Vicky’s really charismatic but Scarlett’s appeal is broader and she’s proved what a natural she is in front of the cameras,” a source told the Mirror.
“She also complements Ant and Dec. The idea is to have her fronting this year’s show.
“But bosses are toying with changing things up each year so that whoever wins the series gets the opportunity to do the spin-off.”
Ever since being crowned I’m A Celebrity winner last year, Gogglebox star Scarlett’s star has been on the rise. She impressed on Saturday Night Takeaway and also landed the job hosting a revamp of Channel 4 1990s dating series Street Mate next month – a show originally presented by Davina McCall.
Meanwhile, it was revealed last month that Vicky Pattison wouldn’t be returning for the next series of Extra Camp, despite having only taken over from Laura Whitmore last year.

And she admitted that – thanks to negative comments online from viewers – it was the toughest gig she’d ever done.
“I broke down in floods of tears every night reading all the comments – people were so savage,” she told the Daily Star on Sunday.
“People were calling me a horrible fat cow, a bad role model, a s*** TV presenter. It affected my confidence.”
