Now, it looks as though he’s about to make the step-up to a primetime presenting gig of his own.

The Sun reports that Joel will host new Saturday night primetime show, The Masked Singer.
Based on a format originating in South Korea, the show will see 12 well-known faces sing for judges as they are hidden by head-to-toe costumes.

A source told the newspaper: “Joel has impressed head honchos at ITV and they think he is the perfect fit for this zany show.
“They’re hoping he can help make this new series a hit, especially after The X Factor and The Voice have failed recently to bring in the big audiences.”
Could Joel be the next big ITV primetime host and follow in the footsteps of Dermot?

Joel is touted for another hosting stint on I’m A Celebrity… Extra Camp this year after Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash quit the show.
Ex-EastEnders star Joe said in a post on Instagram: “I can’t believe I’m about to say this… For 10 incredible years I’ve been lucky enough to host my favourite show on telly.
“Being a part of the I’m a Celebrity aftershow has been everything I could have dreamed of and more.
“But I’ve come to the decision that this year I’m going to have to leave my jungle family and stay home with my wonderful real family.
“I don’t want to miss a second with Stacey and our amazing boys so 3 months in Australia just seems too (much) to bear this year.”
