Speaking to OK! Magazine she explained that she was worried her love for the new baby wouldn’t match the love she has for her first child, Ella.
Jacqueline spoke about her response to her first scan, claiming the experience led to her fears.
“That was when it really sunk in that I was pregnant,” she said. “The first thing I thought was, it doesn’t look like Ella, which made me feel sad.
“I know it’s ridiculous because you can’t really tell what they look like from a three-month scan, but it made me feel quite emotional because Ella looks so much like me and I’m worried this baby won’t.”
But she said she had found comfort by researching what other mothers had experienced with their second pregnancies.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about how I could possibly love this child as much as Ella,” she said, “But I Googled it and saw a lovely saying – mothers don’t halve their love, they double it. That put my mind at rest a bit.”
Jacqueline and Dan weren’t trying for another baby, and have both spoken about their surprise at the pregnancy, which brings their brood up to three, alongside Dan’s son Teddy, with ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin.
The former TOWIE star said he was a bit intimidated by the idea of being a dad-of-three.
“Kids are a blessing but having three children is going to be a big responsibility,” he said. “I’m not going to lie, I feel quite scared.”
