Jake Quickenden has moved fans by sharing a heartfelt message to his late brother, Oliver, on what would have been Oliver’s 25th birthday.
The Dancing On Ice star took to Instagram to praise the “strongest person” he knows – his mum Lisa – for how she’s coped with the heartbreaking loss.
Jake posted a snap of himself and his mum showing them putting their arms around each other.

Jake, 29, captioned the post: “Today we celebrate my little brother’s 25th birthday, he’s been gone six years in September.
“My mum is the strongest person I know @lisaquickenden. I will drink for the both of us today, bro.”
He added: “I love and miss you so much but I know you are with me every step I take.”
Fans praised Jake for his loving sentiment to his younger brother.
One person commented: “He will be so proud of you,” while another said: “Thinking of you and your family today.”
A third added: “You will still be inspiring him with everything you do. Both of you have endless strength.”
Jake also took to his Instagram story to reveal how they were celebrating Oliver’s birthday.
A topless Jake told the camera: “So it’s Olly’s birthday today. We’re having a BBQ for him. We have it every year.
“He’s been gone six years which is weird but it’s nice that we do stuff and all his mates come [round].”
Oliver died after losing his battle with bone cancer in 2012 at the age of 19.
His death came just four years after they also lost their father, Paul, to the disease.
During an appearance on Loose Women last year, Jake penned an emotional letter to his mum for Mother’s Day.
He said: “I didn’t really deal with losing Dad and Oliver.

“Like everything, I tried to carry on and put it to the back of my mind but you helped me cope. I knew I had to be strong for you, as did Adam [Jake’s other brother].”
Jake continued: “Oliver and Dad will be watching down, guiding us along in everything we do, so don’t ever think you won’t see them again, because you will. He’s always around.
“I hope I make you proud because you’ve made me the man I am today. Love you always.”
