James Jordan found himself at the centre of a Twitter row over comments branded “hateful” over the weekend.
Social media users told the ex Strictly Come Dancing pro they were “unfollowing” him following his online rant concerning immigration.
James, 45, insisted he is “all for multiculturalism” as he mentioned his wife Ola Jordan was born in Poland.
But the former Dancing On Ice winner was rebuffed for his comments by several disappointed respondents, with one describing James’ words as “divisive”.
James Jordan launches immigration Twitter rant
The outburst came just hours before Saturday’s (October 21) episode of Strictly, which James regularly tweets along to as it airs.
He posted about changing immigration laws “as our amazing country is being destroyed by many of these people entering”.
James claimed: “I don’t feel safe any more for my family and worry about what’s to come if we don’t do something now.”
Additionally, he went on: “Maybe I should have made myself more clear – I’m talking about illegal immigration and the ones putting a drain on our society and preaching their religions in our streets and shouting death to Britain. I’m happy for anyone to come here and work and better themselves.”
James later told other social media users getting “upset” that they should “press the unfollow button if you don’t like the truth”.
He added: “My wife is Polish and all for multiculturalism but when people come to this country to claim from our society and commit hate crimes I say send the [blank] back. End of.”
How Twitter users reacted
Social media users were dismayed with James’ tirade. “I have unfollowed,” one Twitter user replied.
Furthermore, they claimed: “Your recent tweets have been getting more and more hateful, not what I want on my feed personally. But each to their own and I wish you well. We all have our own opinions.”

Additionally, another told James: “This blanket, divisive, statement from someone whose wife seemingly benefited from immigration possibilities is shockingly disappointing. Unfollowing.”
Shockingly disappointing.
Furthermore, a third person chipped in: “What a disappointing post. With no real back up or context. The fact is that an absolutely tiny fraction of crime in the UK is caused by ‘foreigners’. If you don’t feel safe – blame the Brits. I for one thank those who have moved here who are our doctors and nurses, surgeons etc.”
