Nicole Scherzinger turned down Jamie Redknapp when he asked her out, according to a newspaper report.
The 40-year-old singer – who recently split from tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, 27 – was reportedly approached by former footballer Jamie, 45, through friends about going out on a date.
However, The Sun reports she rejected him in order to spend more time “on herself and her career”.
A unnamed source is quoted as telling The Sun: “Jamie has been very keen on Nicole but would never have tried it on when she was with Grigor.

“Since their split, he expressed an interest in dating her but the time isn’t right for Nicole.
“She is on a break from Grigor and she deserves an amazing man, but she’s focusing on herself and her career.”
However, the anonymous insider did not rule out the pair making a “lovely couple” if anything happens between them in the future.
The pair apparently first met when the former Pussycat Doll star appeared on Sky One quiz show A League of Their Own which features Jamie as a captain.

Nicole started dating Grigor in 2015 and before that she had a long-running relationship with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
She has previously said she is “a real sucker” for love and hopes to wed one day.
Jamie and his former wife Louise, 44, divorced in 2018 after 19 years of marriage.
A spokesperson for Jamie declined to comment. ED! has approached reps for both Jamie and Nicole.
