The drama between Dancing On Ice’s Gemma Collins and Jason Gardiner continues as it has now been reported that Jason plans to sue Gemma for defamation after she accused him of selling stories on her.
The tension has rumbled on since their argument live on air during last Sunday’s show, when Gemma insisted Jason had been “selling stories” about her and he ended up labelling her a “brat”.
The 42-year-old DOI judge has denied her claims and now he is apparently considering legal action against the 37-year-old reality star.
A source told The Sun: “Jason has made Gemma aware that he intends to sue her. He’s livid.
“He insists that all he did was give an interview to The Sun, where he was asked about lots of things, including Gemma.”
The insider also said that the prospect of legal action has stressed out The Only Way Is Essex star and that she is hoping the situation diffuses before skating on this weekend’s show.
“She’s very stressed about the idea of being sued and she wants the situation to die down so she can focus on her skating,” they added.
Jason defended himself in a series of tweets this week.
In one he wrote: “For those foolish enough to believe the salacious & libellous accusations about me selling stories to @TheSun, read what journalist @SimonBoyle87 says as he sets the record straight! #honestjudge #integrity #Doingmyjob.”
