Jennifer Lopez shocked fans after posting a selfie revealing a painful black eye online.
But it seems the star hasn’t been beaten up – she injured herself during filming police drama Shades of Blue.
She posted the make-up free photo, which showed her with her hair tied back and a huge bruise under her right eye.
But despite being in obvious pain, she still saw the funny side, joking: “Sometimes work can be rough…lol.”
She finished the caption with an epic list of hashtags: “#shiner #blackeye #sufferforyourart #youshouldseetheotherguy #justkidding #nobodyhitme #imalovernotafighter #imafightertoo #youcantputmeinaboxbaby #okimdonewiththehashtags (sic)”
Shades of Blue is an NBC cop series based in New York, in which JLo plays single mom and corrupt detective Harlee Santos.
The first season showed her character becoming embroiled in various shady dealings in order to protect her daughter Cristina.
The singer and actress has spoken about how the show is her “best work” yet.
“This was how I started my career,” she told Deadline. “This is who I am. I always saw myself as an actress who danced and sang and had those talents as well, and I made my records later in my career.”
She often posts pictures from the set of the show on Instagram, including one that showed she had been filming boxing scenes for the second series.
And she was “super” excited when the drama was renewed for a second season back in June.
“I’m super happy,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I was like, ‘Oh great, that was really hard. I’ll do that again!'”
“The show is so intense and the show does take a lot out of you. But, it was great and I’m glad everybody really liked it and is enjoying it.”
