Viewers of The Jeremy Kyle show were welling up after terminally ill Elizabeth Powell died just days after she was granted her dream of sitting in the talk show’s audience.
Elizabeth was battling cancer when she was taken to the show by her daughter Jenna.
On today’s episode (January 16), Jeremy greeted her with a big hug backstage and showed her around the studio.
The show decided to set up the special visit after hearing about Elizabeth’s wish to come to watch the programme being filmed.
Jeremy, 53, told Elizabeth: “Today, this show is all about you.”
It was an emotional watch as Elizabeth was greeted by huge applause. Her friends and family also sent her heartfelt tributes via video link as she sat in the audience with Jeremy.
But when the show ended the sad news was revealed that Elizabeth had passed away on January 9 this year.
