Well, it always seemed like it was too good to last.
After reconciling, planning a future together and even suggesting contemplating having another baby, it would appear that the showbiz answer to Bonnie and Clyde – Stephane Davis and Jeremy McConnell – have split once again after a massive barney on holiday.
According to reports the pair had an almighty row, just days after Jez came home from a rehab in Ireland.
And just like their previous arguments last year – and there were many – the root of their problems came down to drink.
Or so Steph would have us believe.
In the wake of the spat, Steph issued a length note about how “me and Jeremy can’t drink”
“I cannot drink. I keep things in. I destroy people’s lives. Me and jeremy can’t drink. And won’t be drinking again,” she began.
“It’s been hard for me to admit and accept. I’m a good mother and a good person but alcohol doesn’t agree with my life. It’s a chemical imbalance.
“I hate that my life is in the media, but I can’t lie and keep this in. I guess I chose to share my life so I have to deal with it.”

“My priorities are my family, and I need to make things right the wrongs. I haven’t been perfect myself. All my life I’ve been told what I should be, how I should be, and it’s rubbish. This, is, me.
“I hope one day I can help people in the same situation. Your not a bad person your just powerless. I’ve hurt those who are close to me who I love so much.”
Steph concluded: “I love Jeremy and my son. There all that matters.”
It has now emerged that Jeremy has blocked Stephanie on Twitter – here we go again – supposedly furious that she has suggested that he’s been boozing after rehab.
In fact, he is so angry, he has had his rep issue a statement that he had not “touched a drop of alcohol since he left rehab”.
“To imply that Jeremy was drinking three days after leaving rehab is a malicious lie,” his aide added.
“Jeremy removed himself from the situation last night and checked into a hotel.”
This argument comes as no surprise as during the initial stages of their relationship last year the pair of them argued constantly on their various trips abroad, which they handily for us documented in tweet/delete updates.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Steph called police claiming that she had been assaulted by Jez in her home on March 9.
However, ‘pals’ (of Jeremy it would seem) have suggested that Steph doesn’t make his life easy.
“Steph treats Jeremy like he’s her property – he’s not allowed to go anywhere without her,” a source who seems to know the couple pretty well told the Sun.
“She is very paranoid that he has cheated on her while in rehab and that’s what triggered the argument last night.
“She’s demanded that he gets a new phone and delete other women’s phone numbers from his address book.
“All Jeremy wants to do is be a good dad to Caben and get on with his life and maintain his sobriety.”
“Jeremy needs a lot of support now he’s left rehab, but he’s simply not getting it from Steph.”
Only this week, Steph was gushing about her happy new life with Jez and opened up about getting married and having another baby.

“I know a lot has happened and it might seem strange to some people, but me and Jez have always loved each other.
“The love never went away between us and we’ve both done things we regret, but hopefully this can be our fresh start.
“I finally feel like things are falling into place and we both adore Caben.”
She added: “I still feel emotional about everything but I’m just so happy now; I just want us to have a normal happy life.”
