Soap favourite Jessie Wallace has revealed her 14-year-old daughter has been the victim of a gang mugging.
The EastEnders star, 47, tweeted about the attack after TV writer Tony Grounds complained about his frustration at the alleged police response to his own teenage daughter being set upon.
Kat Slater actress Jessie noted to her 70,000 followers that Tallulah Lilac underwent a similarly distressing experience in an affluent area of north London herself only months ago.
She also claimed the incident was reported to police but nothing ever came of her concerns.

“This happened last year in Muswell Hill to my daughter,” she tweeted, without clarifying exactly whether it was possible to obtain the names of the gang members responsible, as Tony claimed in his daughter’s case.
Jessie continued: “I call the police at 8pm and they knock on my door at 3 am. Nothing was ever resolved.”
Despite the appalling nature of the crime perpetrated against her only child, Jessie did manage to laugh off Tony’s light-hearted suggestion she may have been spooked by the late night call from the police.
“Did you think ‘oh gawd what have I done now?’ when they knocked?” he joked, adding a crying with laughter emoji to his message.

Actress Kacey Ainsworth, who played Jessie’s soap sister Little Mo, was among those to express her dismay at the incident on social media.
Replying to Jessie’s tweet, she sympathised: “Oh no! Hope she was ok afterwards.”
Another Twitter user commented: “This is outrageous.”
“There is no fear. Except from the people needing the police,” chipped in a third.
ED! has contacted a rep for Jessie for further details.
