While most people were sobbing into their sofa following the sad departure of Lauren Branning after her sister Abi’s funeral on Friday night, some viewers weren’t entirely happy with the episode.
As Lauren shared an emotional exchange with her mum, Tanya Branning, played by Jo Joyner, in the back of the funeral car, people thought that maybe there was some camera trickery going on.
As the pair talked about Tanya’s past mistakes, and the untimely demise of Abi – fans were convinced that the actresses weren’t actually in the car together, and it had been filmed with CGI.

One fan took to social media to complain to Jo Joyner about the fake scenes – claiming that Jo and Jacqueline Jossa, who played Lauren, had filmed their scenes individually…
“Anyone else notice that Tanya and Lauren didn’t film that scene together in tonight’s #Eastenders – obviously two different cars and a bit of CGI on Cora at the end,” they said.
But Jo was quick to set the record straight and responded to confirm the pair were actually in the same car.
The fan then responded by admitting their error and went on to tell Jo what an excellent job she did throughout the emotional scenes…
“My error. I will hold my hands up to that, I will say though you were fantastic tonight,” they replied.

Jo then went on to admit she hadn’t actually seen the episode featuring Abi’s funeral – but that she would catch up and watch out for the fake-looking scenes!
Jo isn’t afraid to engage in conversation with her social media followers, and will happily chat about their comments…
She even hit back at someone who blames Tanya for the way that Max had turned out – claiming Tanya was the one that had loose morals and that they were Team Max!
The actress didn’t hold back at responding – and fan’s loved it!
Jo might have filmed the last of her current scenes for EastEnders, but she’s clearly still very protective of her character – and good for her!
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
