Johnny Ruffo, famous for playing Chris Harrington on Home and Away, has undergone emergency surgery to remove a brain tumour.
The singer and actor went to doctors complaining of migraines before it was found he was suffering with a brain tumour and was rushed to hospital.
He told Yahoo: “On Sunday I went into hospital with a migraine. I had to have emergency surgery to have a brain tumour removed.
“I am on the mend and feeling positive. Keep me in your thoughts.”

He posted a picture on Instagram of his bandages and stitches that were a result of the surgery and captioned the images: “Some things in life really put things into perspective, hoping for a positive result, keep me in your thoughts.”
He received 2,000 comments on the images with many wishing him well. One fan said: “Sending you so much love and best wishes. Get better soon Johnny.” Another said: “All the very best for a speedy recovery.”
Home and Away actress Lynne McGranger made a statement saying she was “shocked” at Johnny’s diagnosis. She told The Daily Telegraph: “All of us in the Bay are shocked to hear of Johnny’s sudden illness.
“It goes without saying that he is so loved and we wish him a speedy and complete recovery and can’t wait to see him tearing up the stage again soon.”
It was only a matter of weeks ago that Johnny posted pictures online enjoying himself out and about with friends, going out for meals and standing in as a guest panelist for Australian talk show Studio 10.
The 29-year-old found fame on the Australian X Factor in 2011 and he later supported One Direction during their tour of Oz.

He continued on in the public eye by winning the 12th season of Dancing With The Stars in Australia and then went on to star in Home and Away from 2013 to 2016.
