Kanye West is in such a dark place after his wife Kim Kardashian’s horrendous robbery that he fears his life is now in danger, according to his step-brother.
Hal Carmichael, whose mother Cheryl was married to Kanye’s father Ray, has broken the family’s silence over Kanye’s ‘psychotic breakdown’.

He told The Sun: “No one thought Paris would happen in a million years and now he’s seen it happen to Kim, it’s traumatising.
“Ye is tired, he’s hurt, he feels betrayed and he’s probably feeling depressed.
“It’s like, who can he trust? You can’t trust anyone, even the people you’ve been paying to protect you. They haven’t been doing their jobs correctly.
“I think Kanye got to a point when he was fearing for his life and for his family’s safety because of what went down in Paris – I think it took a toll on him.
“He ends up walking about worrying and thinking, who’s going to do what to me?”
Hal added that his family were so shocked when they found out he was rushed to hospital on November 21.
The 39-year-old was said to have been at his personal trainer Harley Pasternak’s home after he suffered “temporary psychosis”.
What’s really interesting about this, is that Kanye has ALWAYS been paranoid about his wife and children being kidnapped.
In an interview with Heat magazine in 2014, Hal actually said: “Kanye constantly worries about Kim and North because he knows the kidnap risk is high.
“Because of the lifestyle they lead, he has to think about it carefully nowadays. Kanye controls Kim, like where she travels and what she does, to protect her. He thinks the more the public see of them, the more at risk they are.”
Hal explains: “It was so shocking when I found out he was in hospital but I knew in my stomach why – he’s mentally exhausted because he works so hard.
“Since he started out in the business he has never taken a break, or stopped working. He’s lost it right now because he’s only human.
He adds: “I don’t think he would have got to the point where he tried to kill himself.
“He’s exhausted from working over and over and over and he’s burning out. He’s not mentally aware right now.
“But he’s a strong man. His dad is still here, he has his wife and two kids to think about. Kanye would never do anything to himself that might affect the people he loves.”
Hours after Kanye was admitted into the UCLA Medical Center, it was reported that he’d attacked someone in the gym but Hal couldn’t believe it.

“He’s always been a man who’s laid back and mellow.”
Even though the brothers haven’t seen each other in a while, the families still remain close and Hal attended Kanye’s wedding to Kim in Italy.
Hal says that he prays for him every day and wanted to set the record straight about Kanye.
