After she missed son Prince George’s first day at school, the Duchess of Cambridge has vowed that the same won’t happen as Princess Charlotte starts at Thomas’s Battersea this week.
Kate was pregnant with Prince Louis when eldest son George headed off to school and was suffering with severe morning sickness.
However, fighting fit following the tot’s birth, she is now expected to be on hand to support Charlotte on her milestone first day.
And it seems like the four-year-old royal can’t wait to get started at the school which is also attended by her big brother.
A source told People that Charlotte is “so excited” to start school.

They said: “She can’t wait to be with George at big school. She is so excited about it all.”
They added that Charlotte and George share a close bond as “playdates” with outsiders “can be tricky, so they learn to lean on each other”.
Doting dad Prince William escorted George on his first day at school back in 2017, with the nervous-looking future king clutching his dad’s hand for reassurance.

Confident Charlotte will also have her mum on hand, should she need some kind words before heading into the reception class.
The Daily Express claims that Charlotte’s first day will come on Thursday September 5, with the youngster being known to classmates as Charlotte Cambridge.

When William and Kate’s choice of school for their daughter was revealed, Thomas’s headteacher said they were “delighted” about Charlotte’s enrolment.
They said: “We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea.”
Charlotte has had a summer of fun ahead of her first day at school, cheekily poking out her tongue at guests at a sailing event she attended with her parents.
