Opera singer Katherine Jenkins has revealed her car was broken into while she attended a charity event.
The Welsh songstress, 37, said her boot was emptied after the back window of her vehicle was smashed in on Wednesday.
Katherine, who is currently pregnant for the second time, had been speaking at a charity event where she had to cancel a performance as she battled a nasty virus.
She wrote on Twitter, writing: “Yesterday just wasn’t my day. Had offered to sing at a charity event in the evening but I’ve been battling a nasty cold virus so couldn’t sing.
“Was feeling pretty awful because I can’t take any medication due to pregnancy but didn’t want to let the charity down; offered to go anyway to make a little speech and show my support.
“Returned to my car after a couple of hours only to find the back window smashed in and everything taken from the boot even though it was all hidden from view.”
She added: “Aargh! Don’t you just hate days like that?!”
Katherine’s fans rallied round to support her, with one writing: “Hope you feel better soon Katherine, you just need that at this time, some nasty people out there.”
Another said: “So sad given it was a charity event – hopefully they get caught trying to sell the ill gotten gains.”
A third added: “So sorry to hear. Hope you are better soon.”

A fourth said: “Sending you big healing hugs. Forget yesterday and remember soon you will have a little bundle of Love in your arms.”
Katherine and her film director husband Andrew Levitas are expecting their second child following the birth of daughter Aaliyah Reign in 2015.
The couple announced the news in a delightful way last November as Katherine shared a picture of their little girl running away from the camera wearing a superhero cape.
Katherine wrote over the snap: “Sidekick coming soon…”
She then wrote in the caption: “Andrew and I are overjoyed that our family will be growing in 2018 with the addition of our second child – a baby brother for our little superhero Aaliyah!!!”
So there are happier times ahead for Katherine and we hope she feels better soon.
