Katie Hopkins treated by paramedics after collapsing on street

Controversial columnist shared a picture of the frightening incident

Katie Hopkins has shared a dramatic image of her being treated by medics after collapsing yesterday during a trip to South Africa.

The controversial star captioned the picture: “Grateful thanks to the South African emergency services for putting me back together. Leaving it all on the road to tell the truths not being told. *ketamine 1/Hopkins 0) (sic)

In another post, the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate explained she had been given medical ketamine – used as an anaesthetic – after suffering a dislocation.

Katie suffers from epilepsy and has spoken about suffering multiple dislocations during seizures.

The mother-of-three is in South Africa documenting what she calls on her blog “the violent, ethnic cleansing of white farmers by armed, black gangs”.

Before collapsing she posted a picture of herself smiling next to a farmer she met on her campaign trail.

She captioned it: “Great to spend time with @steve_hofmeyr giving voice to white farmers and Africaners being cleansed from this beautiful land.”

Katie, who shot to stardom after appearing on The Apprentice, is travelling as part of a crowd-funded project called The Rebel Media, taking videos which could prove to be as controversial as some of her past work.

The former newspaper columnist hopes a TV channel will bid for the filming rights.

On her blog she writes: “The world doesn’t care. Or at least the mainstream media doesn’t care. Do you?

“Every day I’ve been down here, I’ve produced a short video clip of what I’ve seen.

“Brave men and women who are still fighting for their land, for their families and their future. And so many who have been killed or wounded.”
