Former glamour model Katie Price has hit back at social media critics of her parenting.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain earlier today, Katie was asked about residential care for eldest son Harvey.
“What’s happening with Harvey now?” began host Susanna Reid.
She continued: “I know you have talked about how – and I think a lot of people are enormously sympathetic – he’s obviously so dependent on you. And now you need some respite from that.”

Mum-of-five Katie, 40, responded by noting how she has always been the teen’s “sole carer” before going on to suggest fans do not see how difficult ‘handling’ him can be.
“When I show Harvey, I always show him in a good light,” she said, seemingly defending herself against haters of her social media approach.
“I never show his bad behaviour or when he kicks off and when he’s smashing things around my house.
“I bet if I actually showed what he’s like, then people would be like: ‘Oh my God, you’ve done so well to handle him.'”

Co-host Piers and Katie also recalled how in one recent clip uploaded to her Instagram page Harvey joked the breakfast TV presenter had “[bleep] banter”.
But Katie bizarrely insisted her son should not be compared to a circus performer.
She continued: “He’s not like a seal, I want to show him in a good way. I’m proud of him.”
“It’s a shame he couldn’t come on the show,” Katie added.
Harvey did accompany Katie to the studio, however. She shared an Instagram Stories post showing him with her backstage as her make up was being applied with her 1.9 million followers.
– Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am
